I was extremely disappointed to find out that after purchasing 2 Kindles, (one for a gift which I gave)after watching the Oprah show, to find out that we are not able to use them in Canada. I have returned them, after requesting the gift back, on November27/08 and am now awaiting a credit. Would dearly love to have the ability to use it in Canada!

The Kindle is very much worth the price paid. I also own the Sony PRS500 and the Franklin eBookman. Kindle beats both, hands down.
Have experienced some problems with inadvertent button pressing due to placement and/or size but this can be lived with.
Would really like to see more compatibility with additional ebook formats. Finding and using converters can be a pain and they don't always convert true. I have an extensive library of books in other formats which I would prefer to load directly onto Kindle.
All in all, a very good piece of equipment for the avid reader to add to his or her inventory.Kindle: Amazon's Wireless Reading Device

Very pleased with my Kindle. I take it any where I have to wait for long periods of time & perfect for traveling or even just at home. I perfer hardcover books, however I don't have the space to keep them so this is the perfect item for me. I do have to admit there is the one draw back, the next page turn bar on the right hand side is to long. It should be shorter as I touch it by accident turning the page sometimes without realizing it then having to relocate the page I'm reading. I've recommended the Kindle to all my advid reading friends. Great gift item...
